I believe that academics have a responsibility to share our knowledge & experience with the broader public through outreach and service. Moreover, in fast-moving areas such as ethics & AI and machine learning, academic journal papers simply appear too slowly to have a meaningful impact. My work in this space has included engagement with academic, industry, government, and public partners, as well as other ways of reaching a broader audience.
